ABOUT SARTINA

Nestled within a historic building dating back to 1880, Sartina distinguishes itself in downtown Rye, New York, featuring two floors dedicated to an exceptional selection of women’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, and accessories. Owner Carrie Heffernan meticulously curates each item, crafting not only an exciting fashion destination but also an inviting atmosphere. For Sartina, Carrie designed the retail space around extensive natural elements, seamlessly integrating earth tones, stone, wood, and natural light into the architectural design. The atelier, located on the second floor, has been thoughtfully designed by esteemed interior designer Pamela Frisoli of Trovare Home in Cos Cob, Connecticut. Together, Carrie and Pamela have focused on creating a serene and aesthetically pleasing environment featuring vintage furniture, a distinguished collection of art, and carefully selected lighting and home accessories, all available for purchase.

OUR FOUNDER

A graduate of Boston College, Carrie embarked on her fashion career at the age of 16, working in a children’s retail store in a small rural town outside of Baltimore, Maryland, near where she grew up. After relocating to New York with her husband and starting a family, she refocused her efforts in her early thirties. In March 2020, Carrie took the entrepreneurial leap to establish a luxe wellness boutique called Misfit Bazaar. Nearly three years after its inception, she decided to rebrand and expand her retail footprint.

Sartina, which translates to “seamstress apprentice” in Italian, promises a distinctive shopping experience for those passionate about women’s elevated contemporary high fashion. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you to Sartina.
